Giving Back and Investing in our Community. RBA’s decades of caring for our community are demonstrated by not only our professional service to patients, but our commitment to giving back to our local communities. We have established a private foundation fund at Community Foundation of Lorain County in 1984 in order to establish our giving program. Through grants we have given to local organizations such as Genesis House, Lorain County Free Clinic, Catholic Charities, Camp Invention, Youth Challenge, Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County, Alzheimer’s Association, Compass House, Oberlin Early Childhood Center, Blessing House, Lorain Public Library just to name a few.
Our giving goes beyond financial. Members of RBA have served on local boards such as Lorain County Free Clinic, Mercy Health Foundation or as members of the Lorain County Medical Society, Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, and Advisory Committee for Radiologic Technology and Ultrasound programs at Lorain County Community College (LCCC). RBA’s scholarship funds at LCCC established in 1987 has helped with scholarships for students entering the radiologic technology field. In particular the Brian A. Higgins Memorial Scholarship Fund is specifically for persons entering the Ultrasound program at LCCC.
