For imaging tests performed at the hospital, you may receive two statements. However, you are not being double-billed. When you have a diagnostic imaging test, it is not unusual to receive two separate bills.
The first statement comes from the hospital, medical center or doctor’s office where you had your test. This charge covers the cost for the use of the facility, the imaging equipment, the technical personnel who operate the equipment and any medical supplies, if used.
The second statement comes from RBA. We are the radiologists who provide the professional interpretation of your test. We are an independent company from the facility, and responsible for interpreting or “reading” your test results and reporting the findings to your physician, helping and/or advising him or her to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis possible.
